High School Students
Tillamook Bay Community College participates in Accelerated Learning Options for Oregon. The Oregon Expanded Options and Dual Credit programs are two of these programs. High school students can participate in these programs by first contacting their TBCC high school liaison. High school students are admitted under the same criteria as regular students using the Smarter Balanced scores, counselor recommendation, prior coursework, GPA and/or Accuplacer test results to demonstrate college level proficiency in reading, writing and mathematics.
High school students can also use most (but not all) Advanced Placement (AP) scores and International Baccalaureate (IB) exam scores to be awarded college credit. Students who complete Advanced Placement (AP) or International Baccalaureate (IB) Exams are eligible to receive college credit based on the exam score.
