Students will explore the human experience through Shakespeare’s personal history and selected works including sonnets, comedies, and tragedies. Emphasis placed on Shakespeare’s development as a playwright and poet through a comparison of his earlier work with his later work by analyzing his use of characters, historical significance, and social commentary. Students will complete at least one research paper that utilizes multimodalities and information literacy.
Prerequisites: Successful completion of WR 121.
Fulfills General Education requirements for Arts and Letters.
