NA 100 Nursing Assistant I

A Nursing Assistant I (NA) is an integral part of the interdisciplinary healthcare system and the nursing team. A NA I works under the supervision of a licensed nurse to provide patient care in variety of clinical settings. This course provides 60 hours of classroom instruction, 25 hours of skills lab practice and 75 hours of clinical practicum in the roles and responsibilities of a NA I. Upon successful completion of the course, students are eligible to take the Oregon State Board of Nursing certification exam to be licensed as a NA I.

 

Prerequisites:  BLS Healthcare Provider CPR card or HE 110
