WELCOME to the Tillamook Bay Community College Online Catalog for 2022-23!

Our online catalog is fully active and searchable and allows students to find all the same information that was in our printed catalogs. You can even easily print out sections of the catalog if you so desire. We hope you find this a useful resource if you are exploring coming to TBCC for the first time or returning to the college from last year.

TBCC had a very successful accreditation visit in the Fall of 2021 and are now reaccredited for another seven years. For the new accreditation cycle, TBCC is in the process of developing a new strategic plan. By the summer of 2022 we will have a new mission and vision statement, along with new strategic priorities to lead the college for the next seven years. We will share this new plan throughout the county when it is complete.

The College is working on many new initiatives that will give students more program options and provide even more student support services and resources to help you be successful in achieving your educational goals. First, we are in the process of developing our own Nursing program. We will be working through the year to get it approved by the State Board of Nursing so we can have our first cohort of nursing students in Fall 2023.

Second, TBCC received a Title III grant that will provide the resources needed to develop a career center at the college. We are hiring more student success coaches that can work directly with students to be sure they get on the best career pathway for them and are successful moving through their program at TBCC.

Our new Center for Industrial Technology building across Third Street from the main campus will be renovated this coming year so our Manufacturing and Welding classes can be held there. We hope to offer classes there before the 2022-23 academic year is over.

The College is also planning to construct a new Healthcare Education building next to our main campus. We have received $8M in matching funds from the Oregon State Legislature and are working to obtain the rest of the funding needed. A very exciting time for TBCC.

We are continuing to increase the number of classes being taught in our new advanced technology called Hy-flex. It provides students the opportunity to be face to face, online, or remote on Zoom for any or all of the class sessions. It will provide students with more flexibility to choose the class mode that fits their lives the best. We are excited to offer that technology.

There are a lot of exciting things happening at TBCC this coming year and I hope you will join us as we work very hard to provide quality higher education opportunities for all of Tillamook County.

TBCC President
