EMS 106 EMT Part II

Develops student’s ability to recognize and treat the symptoms of illness and injury in the prehospital setting. Includes skills in patient assessment, basic airway management, trauma assessment and management, and medication administration. Students will be scheduled for assessment and skills procedures in an emergency department and on an ambulance. This course is part 2 of a 2-part course in Emergency Medical Technician. Upon successful completion of the 2-part course, students are eligible to apply and sit for state and national certification exams.
