AG 221 Metals and Welding
Practices of metalworking including the use of metal working machines, metal identification, heat treating and metal properties. Fabrication of metals including arc and oxy-acetylene welding and cutting. (Equivalent to WLD 111)
ADDENDUM TO COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course is intended to articulate with Oregon State University (OSU) as AG 221.
The purpose of this course is to familiarize the student with metals and metal properties, as well as the welding, cutting, grinding and machining techniques appropriate in working with various metals. The emphasis in the course will be on repair of damaged metal systems or structures. Specific testing will be on student proficiency at repair welding given only one attempt.
