Welcome To Tillamook Bay Community College

WELCOME to the Tillamook Bay Community College Online Catalog for 2020-21!

Here is our second online catalog for the college for the 2020-21 academic year. It is fully active and searchable and allows students to find all the same information that was in our printed catalogs.  You can even easily print out sections of the catalog if you so desire. We hope you find this a useful resource if you are exploring coming to TBCC for the first time or returning to the college from last year.

On the next page is a list of our TBCC Vision and Mission Statements, our Core Themes that we focus to achieve as part of our Mission, and our college values.  We take these very seriously and want to provide the highest quality experience to our students as they work to achieve their educational goals.  We want to be the place everyone in our county looks to if there is a need for credit or non-credit training or classes to help them improve their lives. Education changes lives for the better and is important to all of us through our entire lifetime.

TBCC will be working on integrating our services to students into a Guided Pathways model over the coming year. This coming fall, this will involve unveiling our new Learning Communities. These are broader categories of majors that students will choose as an interest area by their second or third term at the college. This process has shown to increase graduation rates and save students time and money while in college. These will be on our website by the fall.

We started a new program this past year which is being very successful. Welding Technology offers an Associate of Applied Science degree and a set of certificates. Labs are offered at Tillamook High School in our Career-Technical Building.

New programs that will begin this coming year include a full degree in Healthcare Administration along with a certificate program in Healthcare that can be earned while in high school.  We are also starting a new Medical Assisting program this summer. Other healthcare programs are in the planning stage. In addition, a new Agricultural Technology degree program will start this fall that combines manufacturing skills with animal handling and other agricultural skills.  It is sure to be very popular and really fits Tillamook County and provides training that is in demand all over the country. So TBCC is continuing to expand its programs to meet the needs of Tillamook County residents.

I wish all of you a productive and successful year of education at TBCC.  Please do stop by and say hi sometime. My door is always open!
